Cardano-Powered funding and talent marketplace for students

Please describe your proposed solution.

Students have many great ideas, but they often struggle to secure funding and find the right people to help bring their ideas to life.

This can be a big challenge in the realization of their projects. Despite their ingenuity, their creative minds and their scientific potential, the students face the problem of lack of experience, lack of financial resources and other problems preventing them from materializing their projects.

To help solve these problems, we offer a software platform allowing students to access a network of investors (business angels) and find qualified engineers (and others) to help them carry out their projects.

The platform would have two main features: a funding platform and a talent marketplace.

- The funding platform will allow students to create projects, with all the necessary elements (budget, opportunity study, project plan, risk management plan, project schedule, resources, etc.), which will then be visible to investors (business angels). Investors could then fund ADA projects. The funding platform could also allow investors to follow the progress of projects and receive updates from students.

- The talent market could help students find qualified engineers to help them with their projects. Engineers could create profiles in the marketplace and list their skills and experience. Students could then search the market for engineers with the skills they need.

The software would be integrated with the Cardano blockchain, which would provide a safe and transparent way to track funding and transactions. The software would also use smart contracts to automate certain tasks, especially when transferring funds.

How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

There are different ways this platform could impact the Cardano ecosystem:

This could attract new users to the Cardano ecosystem: Students who use the platform to raise funds and find talent will be exposed to Cardano and its features (ADA). This could lead them to become regular users of the CARDANO blockChain.

This could increase the demand for ADA: when students raise funds using ADA, they are essentially exerting greater demand on the currency. This could help push up the price of ADA and make it more attractive to investors.

This could help grow the Cardano community: Students who use our platform will be put in touch with other students, business angels and engineers who will use Cardano. This could help build a strong community around the CARDANO ecosystem.

How do you intend to measure the success of your project?

- The number of students who use the platform within the 10 months post funding: This is a good measure of the platform's reach and potential impact.

- The number of projects that are posted on the platform within the 10 months post funding: This is a measure of the platform's popularity and user engagement.

- Number of projects funded within the 18 months post funding : This is a straightforward measure of the platform's ability to connect students with investors.

Please describe your plans to share the outputs and results of your project?

We will make a monthly report including the various statistics on the audience of the platform. In particular the number of projects, funded, Amount of funding raised, Number of projects completed, etc. All information relating to the results of the platform in terms of audience will be shared monthly on the platform itself and also on our various social networks.

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability?

Having in our team:

  • Two software developers with more than 4 years of experience.
  • A fullstack and experienced developer of the Cardano blockchain.

Technically, we have great confidence in the ability to carry out this project.

What are the main goals for the project and how will you validate if your approach is feasible?

The main objectives of the project are to:

- Help students secure funding for their projects.

- Help students find qualified engineers to help them with their projects.

- Provide a safe and transparent way to track funding and transactions.

Please provide a detailed breakdown of your project’s milestones and each of the main tasks or activities to reach the milestone plus the expected timeline for the delivery.

Step 1: Conduct a survey of students and investors to gauge their interest in the platform.

Step 2: Analyze the data from the survey to improve the approach in designing the solution.

Step 3: Analysis and design of the platform's data architecture.

Step 4: Develop the front-end user interface (UI) for the platform.

Step 5: Develop the back-end server for the platform.

Step 6: Integrate the platform with the Cardano blockchain.

Step 7: Market the platform to students and investors.

Please describe the deliverables, outputs and intended outcomes of each milestone.

Step 1: A database of the survey of investors and students.

Step 2: Result of the analyzes and the functionalities to be improved on the basis of the survey.

Step 3: Platform data architecture

Step 4: The frontend of the platform with all the interfaces of the site.

Step 5: Obtaining the full platform API

Step 6: Obtaining the integration of the Cardano blockchain

Please provide a detailed budget breakdown of the proposed work and resources.

- Survey and Research : 1000$

- Frontend development (3 devs x 300$ x 6 months): 5400$

- Backend development (2 devs x 300$ x 6 months): 3600$

- Cardano BlockChain integration : 1000$

- Marketing : 2000$

Who is in the project team and what are their roles?

Akilimali Cizungu Innocent: Proposal lead . Akilimali is a technical analyst within ISDR/GL (www.isdrgl.org) and holds a degree in computer science from ISIG (https://www.isig.ac.cd/). Akilimali is also the technician supporting the Cardano Stake Pool. Akilimali has experience in front-end and back-end developments.

Dimitri Kambale: Web developer

How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

The quality-price ratio stands out especially on the emoluments for the developers. The amounts to be paid to the developers take into account the average remuneration of a developer in our country (DRC).
