Cardano Ghana Community.

Please describe your proposed solution.

Obviously, the Cardano ecosystem is a virtual space for all Cardanians passionate about Cardano and are always excited to contribute to the ecosystem. The internet is now a global village for all its users to virtually relate from anywhere at any time, sharing any amount of information, value or money without any borders.

Cardano Ghana will be an online community of Cardano builders, enthusiasts, ADA holders, dReps, proposers, reviewers, ambassadors and even newbies who are passionate about the Cardano Blockchain.

The online community will be a one-stop place to get all information on Cardano Blockchain as well as the opportunity to learn from projects and leverage their ideas and resources for collaboration and innovation.

How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

This will help enhance adoption, communication and transparency in the Cardano ecosystem, and are explained below:

  1. Content Creation - The Cardano Ghana Community will drive Cardanon adoption by creating relevant content about Cardano; which could be educational materials, audio, video media, art, infographics or poetry to provide enhanced insights into the Cardano projects.
  2. Cardano meetups - The proposal will also ensure Cardano adoption by mobilising all like-minded community members both online and offline, building relationships, learning about other Cardano projects, sharing knowledge and benefiting from conversations at meetups. It will also bring about new members coming into the Cardano ecosystem through the Ghana community for community growth and regional expansion.
  3. Group Moderation - The group will also have a community manager (s) to moderate the group; sharing inspirational content on Cardano, welcoming new members, making announcements, sharing insights from the global Cardano channel across all social media channels, and responding to questions and queries from community members.
  4. Cardano in Local Language - There will be translators in the community group to translate Cardanio information into the common local languages in Ghana such as Twi, Dagbani, Ewe, Hausa, Ga and Gonja to educate, inspire and attract the local folks who are unable to understand or speak the English language. This will make Cardano for everyone in society without any barriers to enhance mass adoption, innovation and partnerships.

How do you intend to measure the success of your project?

Key Success Indicators:

  1. Establish online platforms for Cardano Ghana such as Twitter, telegram, discord, slack, meetup.com, and Reddit.
  2. Organize a database of all project catalyst participants from Ghana.
  3. Ensure to have at least 500 community members onboarded for a start.
  4. Recruit, train and empower at least 3 content creators.
  5. select and train at least 5 Cardano meetup organizers.
  6. Get 5 local language translators for the 5 major local languages to translate content on Cardano
  7. Get at least 2 Community Managers (CMs) for the main Telegram channel and all Cardano Ghana social media channels.

Please describe your plans to share the outputs and results of your project?

Outcome and reporting:

  1. All social media handles created will follow the original Cardano and project catalyst channels
  2. The database will also be shared with IOG for onward marketing and communication.
  3. Recruit Community Manager (s) and moderators to coordinate channels, and connect them to the Cardano Foundation through the Cardano Ambassador Program.
  4. Publish monthly community digest on https://forum.cardano.org to inform the Cardano community about group activities and progress.
  5. Apply for a slot in Project Catalyst town Hall and present projects at the after-town hall break-out rooms.

Also, I have strong knowledge of the Cardano blockchain and project catalyst and have held more than 10 Cardano meetups in Ghana including community-led events of the annual Cardano Summit since 2021. Take a look at my presentation on the Cardano blockchain and use cases here

Funds are critically important towards the success of this project. We will pay for verified channel subscriptions, boosting, flyers, and premium features of applications for a better user experience and marketing.

Hence, the 30k ADA budget will help cover the aforementioned costs to execute the project, drive Cardano adoption and improve communication and networking among members in the Cardano community in Ghana and beyond.
