Please describe your proposed solution.
Our proposed solution is to continue our weekly space called Cardano for Good, hosted by Sustainable ADA. We are currently hosting this weekly Thursday 4pm UTC Twitter space with Cardano Spot as our Co-Hosts and moderators.
This Twitter space platform will invite community projects and social/environmental impact leaders in the Cardano ecosystem to showcase their initiatives and discuss how they are leveraging Cardano to create a more sustainable and equitable world.
By providing visibility and recognition, we aim to inspire and encourage collaboration among impact-driven projects within the ecosystem, and also in the wider impact ecosystem.
When will we be having the Spaces?
- Weekly every Thursday at 4 pm UTC. With a space every week it gives more people the opportunity to attend. Here we will be inviting community members to join and have a live conversation with us about the impacts they are making in the community, and ask questions directly to project teams and leaders in the industry.
Impact on the Cardano Community
- These spaces will have an enormous impact on the Cardano community and the project building with boots on the ground. The Cardano For Good Spaces allow for social and environmental projects building on Cardano to have a stage where they can let their project shine. It facilitates new connections and provides accessibility for those who prefer the format of speaking/listening on their phone, rather than the format of a zoom/google meet setting, or a youtube stream with live chat in text.
Open Environment
- We have an open environment and allow for anyone to join the spaces, providing the opportunity for the public to ask all the questions or comments they may have so long as they are respectful… We also invite 2-3 headline guest speakers/projects each week, to put a specific spotlight on them, but always leave the stage open if a community project or individual wants to take a few moments to share news about their project, or ask questions. Our twitterspace is open for all to enjoy.
Expanding to the wider Web3 ecosystem
- Our goal with this funding is to expand the twitter spaces to proactively include and invite other blockchain communities and get more blockchain4good, impact and purpose driven change makers involved in the Impact projects on Cardano. By creating cross-chain and wider ecosystem connections and relationships with organizations currently not in the blockchain space, we empower the Projects we showcase and provide opportunities to get noticed by a wider audience.
How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?
We propose to continue our weekly space called "Cardano for Good" hosted by Sustainable ADA, an initiative that addresses the challenge and brings benefits to the entire Cardano ecosystem.
“Twitter has now 368 million monthly active users worldwide. Twitter has an engaged monthly user base with 7.2% of all internet users accessing Twitter at least once per month” - <https://www.searchlogistics.com/learn/statistics/twitter-user-statistics/>
We are tapping into the Twitter audience where a significant number of people spend their time to share their thoughts and opinions, remain up to date, and discover and learn about new developments and trends. As established and committed community members, Sustainable ADA is well placed to represent and platform the growing community of Cardano impact projects, as well as attract and welcome those currently outside of the Cardano ecosystem.
Addressing the Challenge:
Our solution directly addresses the challenge of providing a platform for community projects and social/environmental impact leaders within the Cardano ecosystem. By hosting these spaces, we are building a dedicated conversational and educational platform for showcasing different community initiatives and discussing how they leverage Cardano to create a more sustainable and equitable world. This initiative fills the gap of visibility and recognition for impact-driven projects within the ecosystem and taps into the collective intelligence of those who use Twitter and those who can leverage Twitter to be heard and seen, so long as they have an internet connection and mobile phone (if they want to speak), whereas anyone with a device can attend a twitter space.
Benefits to the Cardano Ecosystem: The "Cardano for Good" spaces, bring several benefits to the Cardano community and project builders:
-
A - Inspiration and Collaboration: The spaces provide visibility and recognition, inspiring other community members and cross-chain project builders to contribute to social and environmental impact initiatives on Cardano. It encourages collaboration among impact-driven projects, fostering a sense of community and shared goals.
-
B - Networking Opportunities: The weekly spaces provide a platform for community members to engage in live conversations, allowing for networking and knowledge sharing. By inviting community members to join and participate, we are creating an open environment for questions, comments, and discussion.
-
C - Increased Visibility: By spotlighting 2-3 projects each week, we are offering a stage for social and environmental projects building on Cardano to showcase their work. This increased visibility can attract attention, potential partnerships, and support for these projects, helping them grow and make a greater impacts.
-
Expanding to the wider Web3 Space: Our goal with this proposal of expanding the spaces to include other blockchain communities is an important element of increasing visibility.
-
By creating cross-chain connections and relationships with organizations outside the blockchain space. We are creating opportunities for greater exposure and collaboration. This expansion to the spaces will not only benefit the showcased projects but also bring more blockchain enthusiasts and impact-driven individuals into the Cardano ecosystem.
Our Cardano for Good Spaces brings valuable benefits to the Cardano ecosystem, including inspiration, collaboration, networking opportunities, increased visibility for projects, and potential expansion to wider audiences.
Our project connects well with the challenge brief of Project Catalyst Open to seed ideas that can grow the Cardano and Project Catalyst ecosystem and inspire people to join the Cardano community.
How do you intend to measure the success of your project?
We will be looking to measure the following KPIs:
- # of Live Streams
- # of Viewers
- # of Projects invited
- # of Projects joining the spaces
We will measure the success of our project through various metrics, including the number of participating projects, audience engagement, feedback from participants and viewers, and the subsequent impact generated by the showcased projects. We will track the growth of the community, the collaborations formed, and the tangible outcomes achieved by the projects featured in Cardano for Good.
We will use the #CardanoforGood hashtag to create an evolving timeline for people to post relevant tweets, share and connect.
Please describe your plans to share the outputs and results of your project?
We plan to share the outputs and results of our project through various channels, including social media platforms, community forums, and the Sustainable ADA website.
