Our proposed solution addresses a critical gap in decentralized governance on the Cardano platform, specifically the lack of a comprehensive interface for DAOs to effectively manage their governance processes. By integrating directly with the MuesliSwap smart contract (SC) framework (funded in fund 10) our dashboard will provide a seamless and intuitive environment for DAO members to engage in governance activities.

Perceived Problem: Many decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) on Cardano currently struggle with scattered and inefficient governance mechanisms that hinder active participation and transparency. Moreover, many governance mechanisms are not fully on-chain and sufficiently decentralized. This leads to decreased engagement and effectiveness, limiting the potential of DAOs to fully leverage collective decision-making, decentralized accountability and trustless operation.

Approach: Our approach focuses on the development of an open-source dashboard that integrates with the existing MuesliSwap SC framework (<https://projectcatalyst.io/funds/10/f10-daos-less3-cardano/dao-treasury-and-protocol-parameter-management-via-on-chain-governance-by-muesliswap>). This integration ensures compatibility and leverages established infrastructure, which is already familiar to many users within the Cardano ecosystem. By doing so, we streamline the governance process, making it more accessible and efficient. Moreover, through offering a free, open-source dashboard solution, new projects can easily spin up their own unique, self-hosted DAO dashboard.

Demonstration of Impact: We will measure the impact of our dashboard by the adoption rate among DAOs on Cardano and the increase in participation in governance activities. Success metrics will include user feedback, the number of governance actions taken through the dashboard, and the overall enhancement of governance transparency and efficiency.

Our project will directly contribute to the growth and maturity of the Cardano ecosystem by providing a robust, open-source governance frontend. This platform will:

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?

The MuesliSwap Team is well-known in the community and credited with delivering high-tech solutions. We started the first DEX on Cardano, months before its competition launched and to date provides the only hybrid AMM-Orderbook DEX with integrated DEX Aggregator.

In particular, MuesliSwap Team members are known to be particularly strong in developing secure smart contract based dApps, pioneering the development of DeFi protocols since the early days of SCs on Cardano. The described DAO dashboard hence fall into our area of expertise.

The Team has also already completed multiple projects funded in Catalyst among which is an off-chain governance solution used by multiple Cardano projects. As a large team of dedicated techies, we have the competence, capacity, and motivation to also complete this additional part of governance infrastructure in time and with high quality.

Milestone 1: Design and Initial Development

• Evidence: demo version of website running on testnet, code in github repository

Milestone 3: Integration and Comprehensive Testing

Outputs:

• Integration with the MuesliSwap DAO Smart Contract (SC) framework
• adding the remaining features to the frontend (including token staking functionality, viewing voting results, treasury overview)

Acceptance Criteria:

• Successful integration with the SC framework and working demo on testnet.

Final Milestone: Deployment, Community Feedback, and Project Close-Out
