With this project, I seek to educate about 150 youth who have completed Senior High Schools in Ghana, and are currently at home, hoping to gain admission into Tertiary Institutions. This period is mostly an idle moment in the lives of such students, and thus a problem for parents in Ghana.
Most of these school leavers do not know about Cardano and Project Catalyst. I want to educate them in an education seminar and create awareness about Cardano blockchain and Project Catalyst among them.
There will be two sessions within two months, so one session per month with an anticipated number of participants at 75 per session hopefully. These school leavers will be scouted from my community in Accra. They will mainly be found in Churches in my community; so flyers with the appropriate information will be sent to the churches to get these youth to attend the program.
The contents of the education material will be fundamentals of Cardano Blockchain and Project Catalyst opportunities. These will be in PowerPoint slides which will be facilitated by a competent active member of the ecosystem, Mr. Nathaniel Dwamena of YAFO Institute Ghana.
The impact of such education seminar among these youth include the following:
- These school leavers are part of the grassroots in my community. When I educate them about Cardano blockchain and Project Catalyst, they will be able to take part in the various roles in the Cardano community, and they will appreciate such a great opportunity.
- Currently, blockchain education is gradually becoming popular in Ghana, and therefore getting these youth to be educated about Cardano blockchain will actually increase their knowledge and will help them in their Tertiary education for higher heights. Ghana has gone digital in many daily transactions, so knowledge in this will get these youth to understand what blockchain entails and the benefits in being part of the ecosystem.
- Senior High School leavers idling about, without work and not yet in the Universities in Ghana, has been a big problem. So when they are educated in Cardano, they will have a source of productive engagement using their mobile phones to learn about Cardano blockchain, get involved in the telegram chats, and even the Town Hall meetings; thus cutting down on social vices.
- This will eventually lead to expansion in the Cardano ecosystem in Ghana and globally.
