We are going to raise awareness, organize training sessions for young student girls to facilitate their integration into the cardano ecosystem and Web3 in general.

Problem

In the world of Web3 and cryptos, there is a low level of female involvement, and more specifically the cardano blockchain, , which testifies to the inequalities within the ecosystem.

BLOCKCHAIN AND GENDER: THE KEY TO UNLOCKING ACCESS TO TECHNOLOGY IN THE DRC

Please describe your proposed solution

In the DR Congo, some communities face a dramatization of ignorance about new technologies, all because of the greater awareness of gender issues,

depriving many young girls of access to new technologies,

More particularly, the Cardano blockchain being part not only of new technologies but also an opportunity for self-management by these different decentralized finance platforms, its lack of awareness among most local communities in the Democratic Republic of Congo, particularly in the greater GOMA town, negatively affects its development and this is observed following a certain inequality based on gender in the context where girls are deprived of certain rights, including that of accessing new technologies because of their sexual orientation. Young girls, despite their skills, lack how to unleash their own potential in order to contribute to the development of their communities. Moreover, they are only assigned to household chores, after all, there are several opportunities offered by the Cardano blockchain that can help them overcome some of the challenges that exist in their communities (problem of monetary transaction, purchase of commercial products online, access to credit, etc.).

However, to face these challenges, we propose training on blockchain and gender, a solution that will solve these problems in the DRC, the latter having advantages in the field of education, economy and technology for all members of the community of this entity.

Blockchain education

For this project, we plan to organize sessions that will work peer to peer, 50% will focus on the gender problem and 50% on blockchain. During the training phase, the young girls students will be direct beneficiaries as they will be like ambassadors to others while encouraging their massive participation in order to train them by transmitting important notions about the Cardano blockchain, the necessary resources and the avenues of Cardano opportunities, and this will help them to have roots and do more research to participate in the development of the Cardano blockchain. The beneficiaries of the project and its impact

This project will involve as many young girls as possible who are students from these three

targeted universities, these young students since they do not have basic knowledge of the

Cardano blockchain, We are convinced that this project will have a significant impact

because it will resolve not only the ignorance of new Web3 technologies, but

also inequalities within the community and in the Cardano ecosystem

more precisely of the blockchain but also the integration of these young people trained,

will be certified by digital certificates stored on the blockchain in the form of

NFTs which will sanction their training cycle finally to allow them in turn to

continue to federate others and have them join the blockchain.

Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community

Project Contributions to the Cardano Ecosystem:

Educating about blockchain and gender will contribute significantly to the Cardano

ecosystem and will have a remarkable impact on the development and flourishing of the

Cardano ecosystem because it will encourage the heavy participation of new users.

The Cardano blockchain needs to expand all over the world, which is why

the integration of all layers of the population will increase the number of

members of the Cardano community.

The project will cause a massive integration into the Cardano blockchain:

By supporting the inclination of girls, Cardano will strengthen its image as a

responsible and committed platform for gender equality, thus attracting users

and investors concerned about gender equality.

 • Diversity and innovation Diverse perspectives: The inclusion of girls within the Cardano ecosystem can bring innovation and diverse approaches, which can stimulate innovation as diverse within the Cardano ecosystem.

The problems that women have are not the same as those of men. By integrating

massively African girls can a varied innovation within the Cardano ecosystem.

The trained community members will open new cardano wallets

thus, this will cause a significant increase within the Cardano ecosystem,

Contribute to the economic growth of the Cardano blockchain:

Once the Cardano blockchain is known in the Masisi territory, this will

lead economic operators in this territory to invest their assets in the ADA

cryptocurrency, which could contribute to the increase in the value and ease of use of this expensive cryptocurrency native to the Cardano blockchain.

Target population of the project:

The target population of our project is composed of three major universities in the city

including :

students from these three universities will be ambassadors for other students from

other universities found in the town of Goma, and subsequently all students in the

town of Goma will be aware of the existence of the Cardano blockchain.

Let us point out that we thought about accessing all the universities, first of all, we

wanted to take these three major universities because they are considered the

pilot universities within the town of Goma. The beneficiaries who will be selected will be composed of young girls students

who still have the taste and the ability to learn, but who also need to be initiated to

take responsibility in their hands and the destiny of the future world. This

future strain must be updated to advance in a changing world in order to support

sustainable development because without technology, no development is achievable.

Measuring the impact of a project.

To measure the impact of our project, the following plans have been embarrassed:

 • Reports according to milestones: for each stage of the project carried out, a report will be provided and indicators (images, invoices, videos, etc.) will be published on GitHub and other social networks used by members of the Cardano community.

 • People who have benefited from the training in each targeted university will join

the HUB Token MITHRANDIR DRC At least 50 students who will ensure the continuity of

training other members in each university. The balance of this impact will be

observed through participation lists with the names, email addresses and other

identifiers of these members benefiting from the project.

The training will be closed by a hackathon where students after the training will

write articles that show how blockchain can solve their academic problems.

 • Estimation of the use of the ADA cryptocurrency: Wallets will be created for

all students benefiting from this project. It will be difficult to directly assess this

impact, but Cardano will notice the increase in wallets and investments in the ADA cryptocurrency.

 • Sharing the results of the project with the community: In order to share the results of this project, we will do the following:

 • Share images or videos of each activity on sites and networks used by members of the Cardano community such as GitHub, Discord, Telegram,Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.

 • The winner after the hackathon will be publicly announced on social media

 • Encourage the participation of members of the proof of completion in the different

activities organized within the project.

Conclusion

Integrating girls into the Cardano ecosystem not only enriches the cardano blockchain but also helps to create a more equitable and innovative environment within the community. This can have a positive impact on ecosystem growth.

Please provide a cost breakdown of the proposed work and resources

As for the budgeting of our proposal, we have taken into account the rate of $0.3 per ₳ taking into account the variation in the price of Ada that we have experienced over the last few months.

Step 1: Designing an activity plan and identifying beneficiaries:

Costs for designing an activity plan:

 • Payment of three designers: these designers will each work 15 hours, and will receive

30₳/hour = 3 designers x 15 hours = 45 hours x30₳ = 450 ₳

Step 2:Costs for identifying beneficiaries for the universities concerned (targeted

universities) and contacting academic authorities:

For this activity, two people will be sent to the field to contact academic

authorities (these same people will go university by university to

minimize the cost, in order to identify the beneficiaries of the project:

 • Transportation: 200₳ per person, we have: 200₳x2 people = 400₳
 • Catering: 50₳/day x2people x3days = 300₳
 • Consultation fees with academic administrative authorities and student representatives for these targeted universities: 900 ₳ (including 300₳ per university)
 • Communication and media: 400 ₳

Subtotal: 2000₳

Step 2: Training of beneficiaries on blockchain and gender issues:

For this activity, 2 trainers will be locally from the town of Goma to provide

the training on the Cardano blockchain, and two experts in gender and protection, will precede

by gender, for 3 successive sessions on blockchain and two sessions for

gender, and in each university:

 • Motivation of trainers for 3 sessions (blockchain expert): 2 trainers, including

150₳/Session/Trainer = 900 ₳

 • Motivation of trainers in gender 2 sessions (gender and protection expert): 2

trainers, including 100₳/Session/Trainer = 400 ₳

 • Catering for 4 trainers for 5 days: 30₳/day/trainer = 600₳
 • Communication and media: 300₳
 • Rent a training room for 5 days: 400₳/day = 400₳ x 5 days = 2000₳
 • Rental of equipment for training: 500 ₳
 • Catering for participants for participants:

Number: 50 people

50 meal and water dishes: 30₳/person/session = 1500₳x5 days = 7500₳

T-Shirt with cardano and Project catalyst print: 20 ₳ x 50 people = 1000₳

Incentive for 50 participants to use Cardano wallets: 10 ₳ per person

= 10₳ x 50 = 500 ₳

Subtotal: 13700₳ x3 universities=41100₳

Step 3: Launch a Hackathon competition:

the hackathon will talk on the theme of “improving

higher and university education through blockchain by combating

gender-based inequalities” for these three universities in order to measure

their level of assimilation of the training

For this step, we offer different prizes depending on the excellent ones:

 TOP 1: 1500₳

· Costs of producing the detailed final project report: 1000₳

Subtotal: 1000 ₳

Total project cost: 49,050 ₳

As part of the reasoned and efficient execution of our project, we use an organization that has experience in the field of Cardano technology, Token MITHRANDIR, which is an organization based on the Cardano ecosystem and is also part of intersect, it carries out several works as part of expanding the Cardano blockchain in the Democratic Republic of Congo with its financial education program for young people, hence we will need advice and guidance to carry out our project. For the accomplishment of this project, we will remain in collaboration with the academic administrative authorities, student representatives and with young student girls passionate about new technologies, from this training, we will recruit other young people admitted by blockchain technology who will join our MITHRANDIR DRC Token HUB which already exists and; in cooperation with capable and competent people to do a flawless job.

How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

We believe that the amount requested for this project is validly reasonable for the following reasons:

 • The details of the budget of the project are well demonstrated in order to show readers the different ways in which the requested ADA will be consumed,
 • The estimated prices for project resources, are set after consulting the various markets for goods and services existing in our region and in the region where the project will be carried out. executed, this proves that the prices are reasonable,
 • For human resources, we tried to estimate the minimum working time per individual and we based ourselves on the lifestyle of the inhabitants of our city and the salary scales set by legislation in the DRC;
 • Given the considerable impact that this project wants to bring to the Cardano blockchain, we believe that the 49050 ADA is really average, and thanks to this sum that also saves the funds allocated to the category, the Cardano blockchain will be able to be greatly in the DRC. Project authors: Qualified staff will be responsible for managing the budget in a rational and reasoned manner depending on their experience in managing funds. In the end, we are aware that this project is good value for money because the prices we have given to the different materials, agents and services are reasonable and appropriate in our environment and context of our region.
