Purpose is to enhance the community’s ability to Audit, Manage and Monitor each proposal and projects progress.

PMO Capabilities offers a top down look during project execution that will enhance our ability to effectively Audit a large number of projects.

An effective Project Management training and Project Management tool that can handle the project growth we expect that is user friendly and easy to use for proposers and funded projects will increase their ability to manage their proposals and projects successfully.

There are many roles for a PMO (Project Management Office) but for this I think the description below is appropriate;

Supportive: This kind PMO is less about direct control and more about influence. They act like more of a consultant, advising project managers, teams, and individual contributors alike on best practices without having the authority to tell anyone what to do.

This Challenge is about Auditing and the execution of this proposal would directly impact our ability to Audit proposals and projects.

PMO (Project Management Office) capabilities for Project Monitoring, Auditing and Reporting.

PMO Capabilities will allow Challenge Teams, dReps and the Audit Committee the ability to quickly monitor and Audit a project or multiple projects as they moves thru the project KPI's.

Provide training on Project Management Processes using Kanban an existing Project Management Platform that has the following capabilities;

Kanban Zone is a collaboration platform that embeds the Kanban method pioneered by Toyota, into the most intuitive and flexible no code interface. Get started fast with templates and experts ready to help you visualize your work in the most effective way. Founded by Agile coaches, who since 2003 have been empowering organizations to be more efficient.

Measure key Kanban metrics like throughput (performance) and cycle time (responsiveness) to ensure that you are always improving the way you work.

There is always the risk that the proposer and funded projects will not want or accept project management training or desire to use a product that can monitor their activities.

Not knowing you need project management training or a tools to assist in managing your project can prevent you from trying to improve your project management skills.

The Feasibility of success for this proposal is based on over 20 years of engaging and training project teams. Also Kanban Zone has a proven track record of implementing Kanban Practices and Methods for Major Companies and Organizations.

KPI:

Month 1

Develop Templates for the Audit Committee, Challenge Team Leads, and Funded Projects to follow.

Purchase Software Licenses

Months 2 - 6

Provide and Schedule Training Sessions by Attending Town Halls, after Town Halls and / or Swarms to speak about Auditing and Project management techniques and demonstrate and train using Kanban Methods and tools.

Assist the Challenge Teams, dReps and Auditing Community to use Kanban to Audit and Monitor proposals and projects as they progress thru their KPI's.

The Kanban team will work with Proposers and Funded Projects to setup their projects and keep them moving using the Kanban methodology.

Provide Assistance - monitor how many assistance calls are provided.

Budget:

$8,000 - Qty 50 Kanban Zone yearly Licenses

$10,000 - 5 x $2,000 (Teams to Train and Assist proposers and funded projects and Auditors to get started and keep moving for up to 6 months)

$6,000 – 6 x $1000 (Project Management Instructors to prepare materials, attend meetings and provide training)

The Catalyst Community will Embrace using Project Management Processes and Kanban Methodologies.

The Challenge Teams, dReps, and Audit Committees will embrace and use the Auditing and Monitoring Capabilities of PMO (Project Management Office) tools within Kanban Zone.

Projects will be more easily Audited and have more Successful Conclusions using Project Management Tools and Process.
