Solution

Create Japanese translated versions of AtalaPrism and DID related materials, including localized ATALA Prism Pioneers Program documentation

Problem

In order to promote AtalaPrism and attract development engineers in Japan, the fact that all program materials is in English is a barrier.

AtalaPRISM, a DID (distributed ID) solution, is currently in progress in Ethiopia, Africa. In Ethiopia, the GigaSchools concept, an IT strategy for education in Japan, is already being rolled out at a rapid pace. In addition, AtalaPRISM will enable the one-stop issuance of various digital certificates such as family registers, degree certificates, employment certificates, and unemployment insurance in a decentralized manner. In addition, these will allow for easy integration of various applications, and when combined with smart contracts, the scalability of the solution can be dramatically increased. This proposal is a challenge to introduce this technology in Japan.

The concept of DID itself has not yet penetrated the Japanese market, so we drafted this plan because we thought it was necessary to have materials translated into Japanese in order to create an opportunity to improve awareness and spread interest in DID. We would like to be able to attract top tier blockchain developers, developer partner organizations, and enterprise customers to use ATALA Prism for the development of products in Japan. In addition, we plan to embed Japanese culture into the NFT by providing the CNFT's creation learning course together with the translated materials. In addition, a CNFT souvenir will be provided after the completion of the Atala learning program to enhance the appeal of the program. The program will be implemented as a set to motivate students to start learning. (In addition, it is expected to have a synergistic effect on attracting not only Atala but also creators to create CNFTs and to expand the recognition of CNFTs afterwards. There is also a possibility of using animation companies for publicity, which is also an option to consider.

As for DID solutions for local gavernments, which was selected in Fund 6, securing engineers is an issue to be addressed in building the solution after defining the requirements. In anticipation of such a roadmap in the future, we are planning to implement a program called "DID solutions for local gavernments". In anticipation of such a future roadmap, we will work to attract engineers.

The main photo in the proposal will be a photo of the Charles Remote Lecture at the recent Blockchain Expo. We have succeeded in inviting a member of the prefectural assembly to come and listen to the lecture. This was made possible through a proposal by Shunsuke Wakuda. We would like to further expand the engagement of this proposal while also making use of our connections with booth visitors.

■Detailed plan

・Collect comprehensive list of public facing AtalaPrism documentation
・Acquire ATALA Prism Pioneers Program documentation and determine scope of localization
・Formulate detailed scope of localization project, timeline, prioritization
・Secure Fund7 funding

・First month~3th month
"Atala PRISM" preparation of translated documents
Translate documents
"Learn to earn" finalizing the details of the project

・4th month
"Learn to Earn project" start

・5~6th month
Expanding Engagement

As a roadmap for the future, we plan to develop educational content for the engineers we attract, so that we can train them to be proficient in building AtalaPRISM, so that they can quickly provide consultancy and solutions to meet demand.

■Current issues

・Securing materials for translation. Securing funds for outsourcing translation to specialists.
・There is a centralized national ID platform called "Myna Portal," through which smart KYC is being conducted. How to popularize DID instead of a centralized system must be realized through interpretation of the domestic legal system and construction of a feasible roadmap. In the near term, the challenge is to train people and engineers who can understand the concept, but beyond that, breakthroughs in domestic legal frameworks will be a long-term issue.
