Argentina: Onboarding Investors and Companies - MAYZ - Fintech Chamber

Please describe your proposed solution

Our solution is to host an in-person educational event in Buenos Aires at Hub Concepción (Crecimiento) or a similar venue, in collaboration with the Cámara Argentina de Fintech, to onboard fintech companies into the Cardano ecosystem. The primary goal is to educate key actors on the potential of Cardano and blockchain technology to revolutionize financial services.

At the event we will have Rafael Fraga from Cardano Foundation as a speaker and we believe he can be fantastic to connect the Cardano Foundation, and Cardano native projects with the Fintech ecosystem in Argentina.

Example of a Venue

The complexity of blockchain and the lack of trusted sources of information have created hesitancy among Argentine fintech companies. This has limited the growth of Cardano in a region with significant potential for blockchain adoption. We aim to educate, engage, and empower these companies, showcasing the benefits of Cardano for financial inclusion, decentralization, and innovation.

Approach

We will take the following approach:

  • Event Organization: Collaborate with the Argentine Fintech Chamber to host an event specifically targeting fintech companies, investors, and policy makers.
  • Educational Content: The event will feature expert speakers such as Diego Torres and other prominent leaders in the blockchain space, delivering valuable insights on DeFi.
  • Promote Cardano Adoption: We will have Rafael Fraga from Cardano Foundation as speaker, delivering valuable insights on Cardano growth and adoption in Latam.
  • Engagement and Networking: We will provide fintech executives and investors with opportunities to network, explore partnerships, and better understand how Cardano can be a solution for their business needs.
  • Cardano's Use Case Presentation: The event will highlight practical use cases for Cardano, such as decentralized finance (DeFi), secure smart contracts, and Project Catalyst.

Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community

The success of this event will have a ripple effect throughout the Cardano community by introducing influential fintech companies in Argentina to the ecosystem.

This will generate:

  • New Investments: Increased interest from institutional investors.
  • Wider Adoption: More companies integrating Cardano into their operations.
  • Community Growth: Strengthening Cardano’s developer and user base in Latin America.

Measuring Impact

We will measure success by:

  • Event Attendance: Track the number of participants, aiming to attract dozens of fintech executives and decision-makers.
  • Feedback: Collect feedback to gauge how effectively the event educated attendees and their level of interest in Cardano.

Sharing Outputs

All content, including presentations, photos, and videos, will be made publicly available through platforms like YouTube and X (formerly Twitter). We will also distribute event materials and insights through LinkedIn and our partners' channels to maximize reach.
