Please describe your proposed solution.
Anvil will create a metadata validator, which will function much like an auditing system for inputting metadata for assets generated on Cardano.
The proposed metadata validator would include two pieces. First, an easy-to-use UI for generating metadata, ensuring the quality of metadata and upholding key metadata standards, whether for an NFT or another asset. By utilizing the user-friendly UI and simply adding text when prompted, users will be able to optimize the time it takes to generate the metadata for a single asset, or collection of assets, on Cardano. The second piece will be a metadata validator package for developers, which will serve to validate the metadata json.
Anvil's solution paves the way for project founders, developers, and individual asset creators, among many other users, to focus their time and concentration on more creative tasks. This will accelerate adoption within the Cardano NFT ecosystem and ease the process of creating NFTs on Cardano, which in turn will drive growth and create a more sustainable ecosystem.
The proposed solution aligns with Cardano's goal of becoming the leading blockchain for NFT projects and collections. Moreover, the solution will make it easier for project teams with little experience of building on Cardano to correctly generate asset metadata. Easing this process will be essential if Cardano is to attract real-world businesses that are looking to create NFTs for real estate, financial, identity or credential services.
Anvil’s long-term goal is to create a metadata validator that is highly cost efficient, while still generating enough revenue to maintain the tool and update the prompts whenever necessary. This will be crucial if the metadata validator is to evolve as the Cardano ecosystem evolves. As such, there will be a cost associated with the generation of metadata for each collection created through the platform, which will be implemented at platform launch.
