AdaLink: Multichain Tip Links

Please describe your proposed solution

Image file

At AdaLink, we are developing the first affiliate network on the Cardano blockchain. To attract more marketers and creators to our platform and to Cardano, we are focused on enhancing the robustness of the AdaLink affiliate network by integrating the multichain TipLink feature. This integration will enable our Affiliate Network to attract a diverse range of marketers and affiliates from both traditional environments and various other blockchains.

TipLink is a feature running on the AdaLink decentralized application (DApp) designed to facilitate peer-to-peer tipping using blockchain technology. The Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for TipLink will include key features to enable effective and secure tipping on the blockchain, with added functionalities for user profiles and tip tracking. Here’s a detailed description of the MVP:

  1. Profile Creation: Users, both tippers and creators, can create profiles on TipLink. These profiles will store essential information such as the user’s public Cardano and other blockchain wallet addresses, tipping history, and received tips. The profile feature allows for a personalized experience.
  2. Unique Tip Link Generation: Creators can generate a unique TipLink URL linked to their profile. This URL securely encodes their wallet address and can be shared across various platforms to receive tips directly.
  3. Tipping Interface: When a user clicks on a TipLink URL, the DApp decrypts the URL to retrieve and display the transaction details, including the creator's profile name and tip amount suggestion. Users can adjust the tip amount as per their preference.
  4. Transaction Setup and Security: The tipping transaction is facilitated through the user’s wallet integrated within the DApp. Each transaction requires explicit approval from the tipper to ensure secure processing. Additionally, a service fee of 1 ADA is deducted from the total tip amount.
  5. Tipping Tracking and History: For tax purposes and convenience both tippers and creators can track their tipping activities through their profiles.

TipLink offers a streamlined, secure way for fans and followers to support creators directly on the Cardano blockchain.

Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community

The development and implementation of TipLink will have several positive impacts on the wider Cardano community:

  1. Attract marketers to Cardano: This integration will enable our Affiliate Network to attract marketers, creators and affiliates from both traditional affiliate programs and other blockchains.
  2. Increased Blockchain Adoption: TipLink would serve as a practical application of blockchain technology, potentially attracting new users to the Cardano community. As people engage with the platform to support their favorite creators, they become more familiar with digital currencies and blockchain operations, fostering greater adoption and understanding.
  3. Enhanced creators’ economy: By facilitating direct financial transactions between supporters and creators, TipLink would empower individuals and small businesses within the Cardano and other blockchain ecosystems. This peer-to-peer tipping system would enable creators to monetize their content or services directly, bypassing traditional revenue-sharing platforms.

Overall, integrating TipLink into our affiliate network could significantly enhance its robustness, strengthen the creator economy, and additionally promote the broader use of blockchain technology among creators.

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?

To provide a clearer understanding of our project's feasibility, we encourage you to visit our prototype at TipLink (https://tip-preview.adalink.io/). This early version reflects our team's commitment and ongoing efforts to develop the TipLink project responsibly. Here's how we validate our approach and ensure feasibility:

  1. Experienced Team: Our team has experience in blockchain technology, software development, and project management.
  2. Community Engagement and Feedback: We maintain an open line of communication with the Cardano community, gathering feedback and suggestions.
  3. Robust Project Roadmap: Our strategy focuses on creating an easy-to-use dApp, targeting users in and out of the Cardano ecosystem.

KPIs:

The success of TipLink will be measured through a combination of quantitative and qualitative Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). These KPIs will provide a comprehensive view of the platform's performance, user engagement, and overall impact on the Cardano ecosystem.

Quantitative KPIs:

  1. Product Integration Completion: Successful blockchain integration to the TipLink platform and integration of the TipLink dApp to AdaLink’s Affiliate Network.
  2. User Registration: The number of registered users on the platform.
  3. Successful Transactions: Number of transactions that have been executed successfully on the platform.
  4. Revenue: We plan to implement a 1 ADA platform fee. This means that when users send their tip, a fee of 1 ADA will be deducted from the total amount. This metric will help us track and measure the revenue generated by the platform through these transaction fees.

Qualitative KPIs:

  1. Platform Engagement: Metrics such as website traffic, user engagement, and social media engagement will be used to gauge the level of engagement with the platform.
  2. Customer Satisfaction: We will measure the satisfaction of customers by conducting surveys, conducting interviews, and analyzing feedback.
