ADA to Mobile Money App

Please describe your proposed solution.

The application will be deployed initially in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The local currency used is CDF and USD.

The App will work a bit like a Forex which will allow users to simply exchange ADA from their wallets in Local Currency to Mobile Money and do the reverse.

Please describe how your proposed solution will address the Challenge that you have submitted it in.

ADA Exchange App makes it possible to receive ADA crypto currency from anywhere by giving the possibility of going through any African telecom operator for conversions in Mobile Money. In addition, the application optimizes the structure of conversions to keep fees as low as possible while opening its API to any developer who would like to integrate it for ADA to Mobile Money conversions.

Our application will not give the possibility to users to keep funds there, the App will work a bit like a Forex which will allow users to simply exchange ADA from their wallets in Local Currency to Mobile Money.

The platform that will be designed will be Mobile (Android and IOS) which will integrate extensions of existing ADA wallets and Mobile money aggregator.

We will be using Flutter which is an open source framework by Google for building beautiful, natively compiled, multi-platform applications from a single codebase. So we won't have to design the Android and IOS version, we will design the Android version and generate the IOS directly. We will use Mongodb as a database.

The application will be deployed initially in the Democratic Republic of Congo where the local currency used is CDF and USD.

What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?

The biggest challenge we will face is getting users to use this application in the DRC. Many Congolese, African users do not know cryptocurrency, but we hope that this application will be an example of making it easier to exchange ADAs in local currency and to get used to it.

Please provide a detailed plan, including timeline and key milestones for delivering your proposal.

Roadmap :

  • Step 0 - Proof of Concept (up to 1 month of development) :

We want to provide a working proof of concept for Fund 8. For intensive testing by our developers and all members of the community, we will deliver a version that will work with the Cardano testnet. users will be able to perform payment and conversion tests without having to spend your ADAs.

  • Stage 1 - Active development (up to 3 months) :

Creation of the ADA Exchange App wallet with the possibility of sending and receiving ADAs.

  • Step 2 - Conversion solutions (up to 1 months of development) :

Stable Coin integration for converting ADAs to USD.

Integration of the API of the first mobile money payment mode.

  • Step 3 - Testing with internal users :

Conversion test of ADA into local currency using mobile money already integrated

Please provide a detailed budget breakdown.
