Solution
  • Set a stable and reasonable price according to the current standard of living
  • Reduce the rate of kidnapping, thanks to the system of scanning the customer’s card before and after each race
Problem
  • The high cost of transport in the city;
  • No fixed price for transport,
  • The high rate of kidnapping carried out via taxi transport;
  • Long wait at bus stops and car parks
Feasibility
Value for money
Impact / Alignment
ADA Express

Please describe your proposed solution.

  • The customer thanks to the mobile application of the game, he will be able to manage his prepaid cards, he will see his balance, see the history of his expenses (payments),
  • The driver will have access to a mobile application to see the history of his courses, see the request for a course by a customer (reservation);
  • With ADA Express, customers will integrate the community of Cardano, they will fail notifications against the community.

To make a trip with one of these taxis, the customer will have a prepaid card that he will use to pay for his taxi ride. This card will be supplied with ADA by vendors.

  • Before each trip, the driver must scan or write the card number to verify the customer's sale, and put the payment of the trip on hold.
  • When the customer arrives, after the race, the driver must scan the card again to validate the payment for the race.
  • To fund the customer's card: the seller receives a sum from the customer (in local currency). Then, it tops up the ADAs on that customer's card. Which means that each seller must have a wallet with ADAs, to be able to carry out these transactions.

How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

ADA Express allows the Cardano ecosystem to:

  • Extend its community to the city of Goma and the Democratic Republic of Congo, with the application customers will have notifications about the ecosystem, and there will be conferences to initiate the population on Cardano.
  • Increase the number of users on the Cardano blockchain, and increase the number of transactions since with ADA Express everyone will be paying in ADA for their transport.

How do you intend to measure the success of your project?

  • A taxi will be able to carry out at least 20 customer trips per day, which means 30 transactions per taxi per day,
  • We will reach 250 customers registered in the application, 250 ADA Express cards sold and active,
  • When the number of kidnappings will be reduced in the city of Goma

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability?

The project largely requires:

Skills in computer engineering (programming), to develop, create the application for customers, for drivers, which makes us capable since it corresponds to our skills,

Skills in administrative management, our team is diversified, made up of developers (computer engineer), network and telecommunications engineer, as well as managers, which gives us the technical skills necessary to carry out the project.

Each of the team members has already deployed an application in the past. This means that everyone knows the technical constraints related to the execution of the project in the city of Goma and how to overcome them.

What are the main goals for the project and how will you validate if your approach is feasible?

The main objectives of our project are:

  • Convenient Payment: ADA Express will offer cashless electronic payment using ADAs, eliminating the need to carry change or deal with the driver to pay for the fare. Payments are automatically deducted after each ride. To validate this case by looking at transaction statistics (customer transport payments).
  • Make it easier to find transport: allow users (customers) to easily book transport via a mobile application.
  • Price transparency: make transport price stable, let users know how much they will have to pay before even getting in the car.
  • Expanding the Cardano ecosystem: ADA Express will increase the number of Blochnain Cardano users as well as the number of transactions and usage of the ADA currency. This will be verified from the payments that will be made by the platform users.

Please provide a detailed breakdown of your project’s milestones and each of the main tasks or activities to reach the milestone plus the expected timeline for the delivery.

Please describe the deliverables, outputs and intended outcomes of each milestone.

  • Development of the application (driver part): at the end of this stage we will have a mobile application deployed, which the drivers will use to scan the cards of the passengers (customers), at the departure and arrival of their races.
  • Development of the application (customer and seller part): at the end of this stage, we will have a mobile application deployed, which customers will use to follow the balance of their cards, payments, as well as the history of their transport,
  • Set up taxis: at the end of this stage the city of Goma will already have ADA Express taxis, the drivers will charge for transport according to the price set by the company. Customers will have their functional ADA Express cards, with support for an application, and they will already be able to pay for their transport with ADA via these cards.

Please provide a detailed budget breakdown of the proposed work and resources.

How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

From the outset, the computers we use are no longer responding very well in terms of performance. They therefore need to be replaced to facilitate development. For salaries, we've based ourselves on current standards in our region, without going below or above them.
