The second and last workshop in respect of my project was done yesterday 14th December at the Academic City University College in Accra. The students who attended were over 180 and those coming from outside the school were over 20. The workshop equipped the students with knowledge on blockchain and Cardano Project Catalyst. Over 150 registered on Ideascale, Yoroi wallets opened and the impact was great. The excitement to be part of the ecosystem was awesome.
My project has completed yesterday but the above section does not make provision for that answer so I'm compelled to choose next month. But my project is completed and my close out report will follow soon.
The first workshop was done on 26th November 2022 in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. The theme was Blockchain education and opportunities. The participants were taught about blockchain and Cardano Project Catalyst opportunities which they will fully explore by learning more to benefit their communities. About 55 participants attended the program. They were registered on Ideascale and Yoroi wallets opened for them. The second and last workshop of this project will be held on 14th December 2022. Video of this workshop is uploaded on YouTube and link attached to this document for the community.
The first workshop out of the two to be done will be held on 26th November 2022 in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. I could not secure a venue earlier than the 26th November. After the program on 26th November, a full report with pictures and video will be sent to you.
The project will be implemented within two months, that is, October and November , with two workshops within the two months. Resource persons well versed in Cardano Project Catalyst will educate youth participants about Cardano blockchain and the opportunities involved. The main objective is to get the youth to think about great ideas that will be put into real life proposals to benefit their communities and themselves. Currently venues and dates have been secured already for the workshops to take off on 29th October and 23rd November. Flyers have already been published and marketing is ongoing to get more youth to attend the workshops.
The two workshops as mentioned in the proposal will be held in October and November 2022. The 1st workshop will be done in Kumasi, the Ashanti Region of Ghana and the second workshop will be done in Accra, Ghana. We are targeting 300 participants, 150 for each workshop. A marketing team is already working to get more youth to attend the program. It is expected that the participants will understand the Cardano blockchain and Project Catalyst to benefit them now and in the future.
This is the second and final workshop of the project. Attached is the report. The closeout report and video have been sent to IOHK. This is the report on the second and final workshop. I thank Project Catalyst and IOG for funding this project and giving the opportunity to the youth of Ghana to also know and experience Cardano Blockchain, which in the very near future will benefit them immensely. The project is completed. The second and final was done on the 13th of August 2022. But the column above asking for when the project is expected to be complete does not have a complete column, so I am compelled to choose 'in the next month'.
The first workshop was very successful and the tertiary students were very enthusiastic and happy to be part of the ecosystem. A lot of them will become very much involved as time goes on. The next and last workshop will be held in July.
This project is targeted at the youth and this will inspire the youth to come up with great ideas which will impact society positively. Depending solely on government for jobs after school will be reduced to minimum.
