Because we need PlayerMint to be live in order for the Community Access NFT model to work with gaming content creators I am sharing our dev updates:
Dev Work Completed:
- We transitioned from the Overwolf gameplay API to one that calls Epic Games directly. This was for security reasons and a better UX
- We currently have 18 private testnet participants that are successfully minting, buying, and selling NFTs with PMX that was claimed via gameplay performance
- We have fixed a good couple bugs and UI/UX changes based off of feedback
Next Steps:
- Complete the critical bugs that we have found
- Open up the private testnet to more users
- Launch the testnet to the wider public
- If all looks good then deploy to mainnet

What we've done since last report:
- Had follow up calls with Xen to report our progress on the project
- Added to our list of potential gaming content creators that would like to use the service
Current blockers:
- The response we got from folks when we first messaged a group of content creators was overwhelming interest. The biggest thing they wanted to know was when PlayerMint would be ready for their community to use to obtain PMX for purchasing the NFTs and then trading of them. For this reason we need the product to be live before we can go back to these creators and get their interest on it.
We have completed the following items since the last report:
- Successful integration of our claim PMX, mint NFT, list NFT, and buy NFT smart contracts. These are currently live and being used on the preview testnet
- Acquired a group of 12 private testnet participants that are helping us find bugs in the project
- 2 epochs where people claimed tPMX based off of gameplay performance in Fortnite through the overwolf API
- An easy to use tool that enables anyone to mint a royalty token (following cip-27), the NFT, and then list it for sale on the marketplace in 1 user flow
Our next steps:
- Complete the frontend so the leaderboard/claim page automatically updates over time
- Integrate the delist NFT and change price NFT smart contracts
- Expand group of private testnet participants to 50, then make the testnet public
This list of work will look the same as our Fund4 report as they are for the same project.
Since the last report we have done the following:
- Simplified existing smart contracts and integrated vasil benefits
- Complete the UI/UX of the entire protocol for the MVP
- Integrated the minting and listing NFT endpoint to the frontend
- Buy NFT and Claim PMX endpoints should be done very shortly
- Testing of all smart contracts before integration
The current progress we have been making on this proposal pertains to the development of the protocol. Here is an update on that:
- Simplified existing smart contracts and integrated vasil benefits
- Complete the UI/UX of the entire protocol for the MVP
- Integrated the minting and listing NFT endpoint to the frontend
- Buy NFT and Claim PMX endpoints should be done very shortly
- Testing of all smart contracts before integration
As for the content creators we are working with we have kept in-contact with Assorted Savage and Xen.
Here is a breakdown of the latest we have done from a development perspective:
- We have tested all on-chain code in the preview testnet and have seen success across the board!
- We have tested all off-chain code and seen success across the board
- We have completed all requirements for Epic Online Services (Oauth) and Overwolf (API) in order to ensure we can calculate gameplay performance correctly
- The UI/UX of our website has reached its final stage of review and after some minor tweaks will be ready for launch Here is what we need to accomplish to get to testnet:
- Ensure that on and off chain code can function in unison
- Receive the all clear from Overwolf that our API and custom client will function as intended
- After MLabs (dev team) completes internal testing the PlayerMint team will conduct internal testing
- Have a name brand wallet that is functional with the C.T.L. support the preview testnet (we have been using a key wallet thus far, but have heard from Flint that support is soon to come. Eternl already supports preview testnet but we need to integrate it into C.T.L. before it becomes viable.)
Here is what we need to accomplish to get to mainnet:
- Hold stress tests of platform on preview test with real users
- Receive feedback from users who tried out testnet on product functionality and experience
- Make any necessary changes to platform based off of feedback
- Hold our token generation event on mainnet and launch the product to the Cardano ecosystem!
We post a weekly development update video to our Twitter and Discord that anyone is welcome to check out. We also hold a town hall on our youtube whenever we have a big update to share with the community. These are all public and accessible through this link: https://cuda.io/playermint
Note this response is the same as our Fund4 monthly review due to the fact that the proposals aim to fund the development of the same platform.
We have been speaking with two creators in the space about launching their own community access NFTs. One is Xen, a Fortnite based esports org we have a deal to market with, and the other is Assorted Savage, a fortnite based streamer.
Both are interested but need more work to be completed to agree to launch their community access NFTs. In particular Xen is more interested in launching on Ethereum due to its mainstream awareness. We are hoping the launch of PlayerMint and the opportunities it provides alongside the Vasil hardfork will go towards changing their mind.
We are having a difficult time deploying to the testnet at the current moment. Our wonderful devs at MLabs have been trying to deploy for the past month or so and are seeing a good bit of issues in doing so.
Glad to see node updates and testnet is getting into a better situation! Hoping this will help our current dev status.
Beyond testnet we are having a few issues getting Ogmios to connect to the site as intended. Team is working to diagnose and resolve issue.
No! Thank you.
If there are any gaming based content creators in your network it would be great to get connected to them! That or any ways in which we can encourage new gaming content creators to get into Cardano through fun community onboarding events.
We are currently contacting a Fortnite creator named Assorted Savage and have a deal worked out with Xen, a Fortnite esport org.
We are getting close to testnet launch and would love some help getting the word out to the wider Cardano community.
We are about to launch our testnet and any help on getting the word out would be greatly appreciated!
If anyone knows content creators interested in getting into crypto let us know!
We are currently engaging with a number of esports content creators in the Fortnite community. They have expressed interest in the platform but need to get more clarity on Cardano and the implications of their NFT before they want to move forward.
We are getting very close to the launch of our testnet with the help of MLabs. We should have something out for the public to play around with in the coming weeks.
This response is very similar to our Fund4 progress report. This is because the funds are both used towards the development of the PlayerMint core product.
Any help on getting the word out about our upcoming testnet launch (end of this month) would be fantastic! Thanks Project Catalyst team
We are making good progress on onboarding gamers to the Cardano ecosystem and plan on hosting a Supply Bootstrapping Event for the launch of our marketplace.
